Description

Levi’s Engineer Jeans bring a distinctive, body-following silhouette to the Vintage 98S denim edit. The Engineered Jeans concept that Levi’s introduced in 1999 rethought the classic five-pocket jean from scratch: side seams that twist around the leg instead of running straight down, a darted back yoke in place of the usual flat panel, and a leg that curves gently forward so the jean moves with you rather than against you.

The effect is immediately recognisable. Seen from the side, the leg spirals softly, the knee sits naturally bent, and the hem drops slightly at the front to rest on the shoe while staying shorter at the heel. Enlarged front pocket scoops and lowered back pockets complete the ergonomic character that made this style a cult piece of turn-of-the-millennium denim.

Styling is easy. The sculpted line works with chunky trainers and a boxy tee for a Y2K-inspired look, or with a plain hoodie and a clean sneaker for everyday wear. In cooler weather, layer a track jacket or a fleece over the top and let the twisted seams do the talking.
